Scrolling MusicXML score

Import MusicXML, read the engraved page in the browser, and follow playback with a moving playhead. The same engine powers the Scrolling score button on digital score product pages.

Scrolling MusicXML score is the studio’s in-browser reader for engraved digital scores. A MusicXML file carries both the notation and enough structure for playback; we calibrate page layout against the publication PDF where one is available, then draw the page with Verovio and drive MIDI from the paired file (or from the notation when no MIDI is supplied).

On a product page, the Scrolling score control opens this same player for the title you are viewing. Here you can try every Open Sheet Music title we have wired for preview, or bring your own MusicXML from Sibelius, Dorico, MuseScore, or another exporter. Mute a staff, change tempo, and step pages while the playhead follows the sounding bar.

This is a working preview, not a finished commercial product: there is no offline app, no account sync, and teaching features (looping a passage, graded exercises) are still ahead. Layout and sound will keep improving as we update the shared /score-player/ package — catalog embeds update with it.

Accepts .musicxml / .xml. Optional companion .mid improves timbre; without it, playback is derived from the notation.
